Two men dressed as Batman and Captain America rushed into a burning building to save a cat.
The incident occurred in September 2013 in Milton, West Virginia. John Buckland and Troy Marcum were in costume making an appearance before a group of kids when smoke was seen emanating from a nearby building. The men rushed to the scene and broke down a door to look for anyone who may be inside. Though the house was empty, they found a cat, which they rescued and resuscitated.

More from the UPI:
“I grabbed his shoulders, gave it everything we got and the door opened,” Buckland said, adding that his training just “kicked in.”
“He (Marcum) breaks out the window,” Buckland said. “The smokes lets out and as I can start to see I reach down and grab something furry!”
The homeowners were out of town, and their cat was trapped inside the house. Buckman freed and resuscitated the feline, but says it was no fan of the bat costume.
“The cat comes around,” Buckland said. “Takes a look at me, then hissed!”
