Claim: “Teens who spend most of their time listening to music are more likely to get depressed.”
Fact or Fake?
Fact.
According to FoxNews, a University of Pittsburgh study in April 2011 stated:
Teenagers who spend more time listening to music are more likely to suffer from depression than kids who opt to spend their time reading.
Youth who spent most of their time listening to music were 8.3 times more likely to be depressed. Those who read most of the time were 1/10th as likely to be depressed.
