A man claiming to be 112 years old married a 17-year old girl in Somalia in 2009.

Hundreds of attendees watched the wedding between Ahmed Muhamed Dore, who already had over a hundred children and grandchildren by five wives, and Safia Abdulleh, who was 17 years old.
Dore’s age was “verified” by a traditional goat skin birth certificate written by his father. His oldest child was 80 years old at the time of the marriage.
Dore told the BBC, “I didn’t force her, but used my experience to convince her of my love; and then we agreed to marry.” He expressed a desire to have more children with his new bride.
“It is a blessing to have someone you love to take care of you,” he said.
